Leonora and Norseman MRA Regional Workshops
The inaugural Leonora and Norseman MRA Regional workshops conducted from August 18th to the 26th were a resounding success.
All participants (most of whom had never played music before) performed a concert on the last day of each workshop and a huge turnout for the concert for both Towns was unbelievble. Many lasting benefits and goals were acheived and the dedication and enthusiasm that was shown by the young people was awesome. The defeat of nerves, feelings of shame and the delivery of new skills by many participants left a tear in the eye of all those in the audience - attributes these young people have promised to use on all new challenges they face in their lives in the future.
It was commented that these Towns will not ever be the same again after the MRA workshops and we look forward to doing it all again in 2010 :)
