Dean Blanchard is the founder of Music Rocks Australia, established in 2006.

Dean was awarded Golden Key Membership for academic achievement at Curtin University of Technology, Edith Cowan University (ECU) and the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts (WAAPA) for achieving in the top 10% of graduating scores at University in Australia.

Dean is qualified with a Bachelor of Music Education (WAAPA/ECU), Associate Degree in Performing Arts (Jazz) (WAAPA), Certificate IV in Music (Jazz) (WAAPA) and a Bachelor of Science (Applied Chemistry) (Curtin). Dean is also an inaugural board member of the Western Australian Achievement Awards.

Dean was the first ever jazz-trained School of Instrumental Music (DET) teacher in 2004 with extensive experience teaching ensembles and instrumentally in W.A. schools since 2002.

He has published a series of music books and is a TEE/CoS performance exam marker for the Curriculum Council of W.A. His passion for young people and music is the dynamic force behind the success of an abundance of young people realizing their music, social and personal dreams.
